Authors Michael Hurd and Robert Jacobus will be discussing their books Thursday Night Lights: The Story of Black High School Football in Texas and Black Man in the Huddle, a book about the integration of Texas football games including Lamar’s in the early 1060’s. A Q&A session will include a panel of other local African American football players who saw first hand the effects and consequences of the integration of football.
